November 17, 2010The 50th Season of Racing at Mid-Ohio will feature six weekends of checkered flags, car shows, victory circles and more. See the 2011 race dates to the left or read on for more details.
Kicking the historic year off is the Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio on June 24-26. Porsche will lead thousands of cars on display as the Featured Marque and over a dozen SVRA classes will fill the weekend with races. Saturday's British Car Showdown leads the way to Sunday's Concours d'Elegance.
Up next is the Honda Super Cycle Weekend presented by Dunlop Tire on July 8-10. Will AMA Pro Racing's Josh Hayes continue his hot streak at Mid-Ohio with wins in three of the last four legs of the Wiseco SuperBike 100 Doubleheader?
July 22-24 marks the year's second bike event at Mid-Ohio. The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days - held at the track for the 17th time - sees bikes from yesteryear on track, in the paddocks and for sale in the continent's largest motorcycle swap meet.
The summer continues with the fifth straight American Le Mans Series and IZOD IndyCar Series doubleheader - the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Challenge / The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio on August 5-7. The fastest lap times of the season should be set this weekend.
The NASA Championships presented by Toyo Tires begins a two week Fall SpeedFest as the nation's top amateurs roll into town on September 9-11. Over 20 champions will be determined in the multiple division, season-ending event for the series.
Closing out the year for the Mid-Ohio and the GRAND-AM Rolex Series is the EMCO Gears Classic presented by KeyBank on September 16-18. Come see the driver, team and manufacturer championships decided in this huge finale.
