... the many benefits the NASA National Championships event has brought to the area. NASA was chosen for the award due in part to the sustained benefit NASA has brought to the area with its National Championship event. Other factors for NASA’s selection were significant gains in positive Statewide and National press relations, significantly added tourism offering for Richland County and North Central Ohio, and the increase in tourism the event generates. NASA Great Lakes/Mid West Regional Director Dave Royce was on hand to accept the award on behalf of NASA and thank the M/RCVB for the recognition the award bestows upon the NASA Championship event. Registration is already open for the 2011 NASA Championships and entry numbers are already ahead of previous years. NASA is hard at work securing contingency sponsorships and many other programs competitors will enjoy when visiting the 2011 event. NASA is looking forward to its 7th annual NASA Championships and the anticipated benefits to the local region.
